Get paid to drink gin and travel the world with a friend
Mr Fogg’s, a Mayfair-based gin bar that honours Jules Vernes’ most beloved character, Phileas Fogg, is partnering with Bombay Sapphire to find a global gin ambassador. The successful candidate and their travelling companion of choice will sample gin and travel around the world, following in the footsteps of Phileas Fogg himself. From Mumbai to Hong Kong, Tokyo to San Francisco, New York to Lisbon, the pair will race against the clock, ensuring that they make it back to London in 80 days.
The explorers will enjoy their own modern-day take on Fogg’s expedition and will document their adventures on social media and a travel blog. They’ll be gifted an atlas, journal, luggage tags and a hip flask, all bespoke pieces from Aspinal of London. They will also be responsible for collecting botanicals and inspiration along the way to bring back to London to create their very own limited edition ‘Around the World Cocktail’ made with ingredients from every corner of the globe.
The gin cocktail will be premiered at Fogg’s Society of Exploration, a new bar that’s set to open near Charing Cross station (the same spot where Phileas Fogg first set off on his adventures). As an added perk of the job (yes, there’s more), the explorers will be treated to the ‘Around the World Cocktail’ on the house during it’s limited run each time they visit the bar.
To select the winning applicant, Mr Fogg’s and their owner Inception Group, have teamed with best-selling author and photographer Levison Wood. Those looking to snag the job need to have a valid passport, be social media-savvy and have a passion for travel and gin.
